Comet Machine Gun, Yoshiya, Japan.

Original vintage tin plate Comet Machine Gun sparking toy gun produced during the 1960 s and 1970 s. This example is from the early 1970 s (ST = Safety Toy mark used after 1971). Marked with the Yoshiya trade mark (KO within a diamond logo) and Made in Japan . Also marked with the patent nos. 729721 and 543747. In original box which is marked with the Yoshiya trade mark etc.

Mechanism:- Trigger operated sparking mechanism.

Action:- Produces sparks which are visible in the clear transparent section on the top of the gun. The white plastic component within the transparent green barrel also moves backwards and forwards. Loud clicking noise.

Size:- 18.50 inches long approx.

Condition:- The toy is in excellent condition, as new. Working order! Please refer to photographs. The box some signs of wear and creasing but is still very good.
